"A lot of bloggers seem to be socially inadequate, pimpled, single, slightly seedy, bald, cauliflower-nosed young men sitting in their mother's basements and ranting...the spewings and rantings of very drunk people late at night." - Andrew Marr
Like millions of Europeans before me I have cast aside the old world and set sail to the new world. Like them I feared I would fall off the edge of the earth and like them I brought with me a host of transmittable diseases in blankets. It began when I packed my cases and I said goodbye to all the other English people I grew up with.
Lee: "Tallyho England!"
England: "Cheerio Lee! Best of British and all that, what what."
And now I'm settled in I have realized that there is more to this world than the one I can see and gets ice on in the morning. It's here, online. Now for most of us online is a place to pirate new albums, find out the name of the guy in that movie you didn't like and of course not look at pornography. But to others it is a way in which one can connect with the world and find his or her place.
Hello online, it's me.
This blog will document my journey through the online world and finally get me into the second decade of the 21st century because it turns out thinking Twitter 'is a bit silly' is sooooo 2008.
